Matlab GUI Tutorial

Please find below pictures from our two Matlab GUI tutorial given by graduate student Hanan Sedaghatpishe! This tutorial consisted of learning the basics of Graphical User Interface (GUI) as well as the functions of GUI. Matlab is a required course in the EE department at Sonoma State, however the tutorial gives an extension of the Matlab class!

Android Application Tutorial

Please find below pictures from our Android Application tutorial. We had two tutorials held by graduate student Swathi Matsa that took place in March (2015). In the tutorial the students were required to download necessary software in making Android Applications and were taught with a graphical user interface on the power-point for ease!

Python Tutorial

On February 27th from 11-1 in Salazar 2001, SWE had their first tutorial of the semester given by graduate student member Faiza Qadri! The topic was learning the basics and fundamentals of Python programming, one of the most common languages used today. As some of the participants were brand new to the language and others having some experience, the session went smoothly with tons of interaction and help from everyone in attendance! As this was the first graduate student tutorial ever held by SWE, we plan to host two other topics this semester! (Android App Programming & Matlab) Each topic has two sessions each, both two hours long!

Please join us for our next tutorial on Android App programming on 3/6 from 11am-1pm in Salazar 2001!

Also, please find below pictures from our Python Tutorial below – 2/27:

University La Fiesta Volunteer Event

On February 27th, some of the ladies of SWE teamed up with the EE club by helping out at an event with University La Fiesta kids at SSU. As our clubs conducted a small engineering event for the kids, the chemistry club was also in attendance and showing some of their cool projects. The kids had a great amount of creativity at such a young age (5-7 y.o), building what they could among toothpicks and marshmallows! Please find below a few of the projects the kids made as well as general pictures from the event!
